We provide for the artist a complete package of the required knowledge and tools needed for success in the performance arts. Not only do we train the artist in the craft of acting, we provide ongoing career counseling. We also provide assistance with how to find casting calls, as well as representation, with an emphasis on working towards union status.
Eliminating for the students all the mistakes the novice makes when first trying to break into the business in Los Angeles is also a key focus of class. This is a first impressions business that hires based on immediate need - making an impressionable first encounter with the CD or agent, or anyone in the business really, is vital to acquiring success as a professional artist.
By training the student in the Katselas Approach; Acting. Attitude. Administration., DK Acting Class is able to provide Las Vegas talent agencies and LA-based talent agencies with talent ready to book; well-trained, prepared professionals, with an upbeat attitude and excellent work skills.
We believe everyone has the right to put their dreams into action. We have no age or skill restrictions to qualify for enrollment. We believe everyone is unique, therefore everyone brings their own special quality to the table. Our job is to help the artist mine that gold that is who they are, towards a productive and very satisfying professional life in the arts.

The Three A's
The ongoing classes instruct the artist in the three disciplines required to maximize your potential for success.
Acting
Our two acting classes meet every Sunday; Orientation and Advanced. Our focus is on training the artist so that he/she/they can succeed in any and all kinds of story telling. Our members include performers in dance and music, as well as actors, writers and directors committed to learning the art of story telling.

You can have all the skill and talent in the world, but frankly, if you’re a jerk or a sourpuss, no one will want to work with you. Developing a positive, healthy self image is not only important for how one views themselves, but equally important as to how others will perceive you. And, this is, after all, is a communal art form.
Administration
Well, you can be very skilled with a great attitude, but if no one knows who you are, it doesn’t do you much good, does it? One’s career is like a bus. You need a bus, because you have a lot of people in there - manager, agent, coach, publicist, stylist, etc. But who should be driving your bus? The agent? The stylist? No. The artist needs to drive that bus! It’s their bus. It’s their career.
Why be an artist?
Because a world without artists is a drab world indeed. Our mission is to try to make the world just a little bit brighter by providing an avenue toward success for those with a burning desire to create. We believe by nurturing and guiding an artist along on their path to self discovery; creating art that uplifts humanity as art is meant to do, we not only can help enrich the lives of those that brave the spotlight, we can contribute to keeping true artistry alive and thriving in our local communities.
